| Well, I'll say to anyone who's listening that the result of 2010 was nigh on perfect for me. Although the poor Swiss came statistically bottom of the heap, we all know that the monstrosity that was the UK was the ultimate nadir. The UK as feared has relapsed into it's old ways of X-factor quality artists sadly strangling a deeply mediocre tune. And as for those backing singers... At the opposite end of the scale I predicted a 1-2-3 in the final, and made a nice little return as a result. Ater 13 long years, one of the big 4 has won again. Not taking anything away from perky quirky likeable Lena, but 2010 was a year decidedly low on quality. The jury system has had another year of success (although the Swedes won't agree) with such clear evidence as Estonia and FYROM not getting through even though they had maximum possible neighbourly support in their semi. Turkey are getting ever closer, and the way things are going Romania will be joining them as perennial contenders. A confirmed, definite swing to the West then, and another Northern winner. |
